Gtx 970 vs gtx 980

Please help me.I want to buy the best card for at least 400 euro (greece). The cheapest 980 is 420euro and the 970 is 297euro. The 1070 is out of the question because it costs non-founders edition 560 euro and founders 520 euro :/

Depends which resolution. Both will work @ 1080p, but GTX 980 is far better than GTX 970.

Note: If you wait 2 weeks, maybe you can pick a GPU from AMD side, RX 480, but again, we don't know your whole system to recommend it.

In two weeks, the pricing will be much better. At US stores, 970 is already down to 230$ and 980ti is slightly above 400$.
This pricing will reach europe as well.
If i were you, I'd wait for the RX 480. It supposed to be performing like 970-980 200$ -> that means will cost 200-250 euro.

I'm a little confused about which resolution you will use. 1366x768 or 2560x1080p?

970 will do the job. But if the 980 price off and you can afford it, go for it, i mean, why not?.

The GTX 970 is not powerful enough for this resolution.
980ti or 1070 for ~400 euro is your choice if you want minimum 60FPS on max settings in every game.

dude a gtx 980 ti is 900 euro and the gtx 1070 is 524 and my budget is around 400-420euro

in a couple of weeks, 1070 and 980ti will settle around 400-420 euros mark as the availability of 1070 increase. The release of RX 480 in 8 days will also contribute to that. Btw RX 480 supposed to be stronger performer than 970 and will cost 200-250 euros.

As for the CF, just don't. Better get one 1070 when they will cost 400-450 euros.
