I need to pick up a graphics card real soon and I'm torn on which to choose and while I'd love to wait for the new architectures to come out, it looks like I won't have the time to wait that long. I'm going to be mainly working with Premiere Pro and After Effects with Davinci Resolve and Edius making an appearance later on down the line.

I know that people used to say that Nvidia is always the way to go when it comes to Premiere, but does that still hold true to this day? If so, how much longer will it stay true for? I can deal with slightly shittier performance now if it means the 390 will be much better later on down the line.

My cpu is a quad-core i5-2320 right now, but I will be upgrading to a 5820k in April/May. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/cXmNXL - This is my list right now. I'll pull the trigger on it next month, I just need the GPU now because my HD 6450 is allowing 1:1 timeline playback during the edit.
