GTX 970 vs r9 390

I am building a gaming pc. I will use it in a 1080p monitor. I do not want to upgrade for atleast 2 years. Which of this two should I get?

I mean really, if you're gaming at 1080p, either should be just fine. Cards become less able to handle the needs of modern games as time goes on, but there's no reason either of those shouldn't last you 2 years.
