gtx 970 vs rx480

i had made a thread lately and was told to get a gtx 1070. when i checked the prices i found that i can get a used 970 for around 120$ and a used 270 for around 220$ which i thought makes sense as i only have an i5 4670k . which one do you suggest ? also i can later pair one more in sli or crossfire for the 970 more likely than the 480 . or do you suggest i go and buy a 1070/1080 right away although it would cost twice as much as the 970 sli. thnx i really appreciate the help i get here

are sure that was 270? 270 @$220 used is outright scam. AMD launch the card for $200 back in 2013. 970 for $120 is a lot of performance for that kind of price. even more so when overclocked. how much you can get for RX470? but if you really can afford for at 1070 then go for it because that will going to last you a lot longer. 4670K should do just fine. if you still worried about bottleneck issue then just OC the CPU. that's the purpose of buying K series cpu in the first place.

probably sli 970 since its a little over one rx480 for way more perfomance , or a 980ti that i found for 300$ but the guy didnt respond yet
