My computer recently stopped recognizing my gtx 295 video card and upon starting up the bios looked like hieroglyphics so I decided to upgrade to an EVGA GTX 970 superclocked acx 2.0. After successfully removing the old hardware and plugging in the new, I started my pc up with glee and excitement in my eyes; unfortunately, I was met with a warning that the cpu had changed and i needed to go into cmos. I adjusted the settings, saved and exited. After restart, it booted to verifying dmi and got stuck. Another restart default load in cmos and I got all the way past bios to find my computer automatically restarting as it was about to load windows. I then tried booting from windows cd to possibly repair boot issue and again it restarts as soon as it gets past the load and is about to boot up. No matter what I do, the furthest I get is right past bios to an automatic restart. It will not boot in safe mode either.

Anyone have an idea as to how and fix this?

Maby u pushed out some cables installing the card, try and check all the cables, take out the card and put it in again firmly. And maby try windows safemode

edit. agree with the ahci thing, shud check that out

I plugged my old video card back in and am able to boot to windows just fine using the same cables. The problem is that this old video card isn't being recognized by my computer and in turn, my pc suffers horrible performance and the weird lettering on bios start up.
