gtx 970 worries

Hi
I've heard about the 3.5 vram issues and I'm concerned.
Will I have issues on 1080p resolution ?
Like games modded skyrim , shadow of mordor ,dayz sa, bf4....maxed out.
Will I encounter this vram stuttering issues ?
And is there any big difference between this two ?
I lening towards the OC one (not red) because I'm on budget.
Will the oc one overclock as good as the gaming one ?
What are the differences?

the red one is better becuase its quieter and its running cooler. they tested Heavy modded skyrim and they hit 3.2gbs but the card is not even capable to do 60 fps at that point without lowering some settings and if you do that the vram usage will drop
