GTX 970m vs GTX 870m & RAM upgradability

I'm trying to get a new laptop for my girlfriend. She does photo and video editing and occasionally games (but rarely). For her screen quality, compute performance, RAM and battery performance matter the most - in that order.

I think the New Razer Blade is what to get based on its screen, because it's the only hi-res IGZO panel on a laptop I can find: LINK ---> http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-blade

I have two questions, though: (1) is the RAM upgradable, and (2) should I wait until they upgrade the GPU from the 870m to the 970m?

(1) - I can't find anywhere whether the RAM is upgradable, but I'm hoping someone who owns one of the 2014 Razer Blades (non-pro) can tell me.

(2) - The much better batter efficiency of Maxwell (i.e. 970m) over Kepler (i.e. 870m) makes me want to wait, as does the extra pixel pushing power for a QHD+ display. The 2014 came out in May, and they've been releasing new Razer Blades annually, so that would be about a 5-month wait. Worth it?

I remember that on some Razer notebooks you can upgrade or replace the memory and boot drive but I remember some were not user upgrade able at all I think. It varies by model. As for the GPU's I believe their both using the new Maxwell architecture but 970M will run better I just dont know how much cooler or how much more performance you will gain compared to the 870M.

Edit : I just looked up the GPU and the 870M is Keppler so my opinion is to wait for the 970M which is available with msi notebooks I've seen on newegg. The 970M will run cooler and give you more performance that's a fact.
