I'm trying to get a new laptop for my girlfriend. She does photo and video editing and occasionally games (but rarely). For her screen quality, compute performance, RAM and battery performance matter the most - in that order.
I think the New Razer Blade is what to get based on its screen, because it's the only hi-res IGZO panel on a laptop I can find: LINK ---> http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-blade
I have two questions, though: (1) is the RAM upgradable, and (2) should I wait until they upgrade the GPU from the 870m to the 970m?
(1) - I can't find anywhere whether the RAM is upgradable, but I'm hoping someone who owns one of the 2014 Razer Blades (non-pro) can tell me.
(2) - The much better batter efficiency of Maxwell (i.e. 970m) over Kepler (i.e. 870m) makes me want to wait, as does the extra pixel pushing power for a QHD+ display. The 2014 came out in May, and they've been releasing new Razer Blades annually, so that would be about a 5-month wait. Worth it?
