I've been reading through a few things and wanted an opinion do you think it is worth it to pay the premium for a G-Sync Monitor say the 1080p AOC G2460PG or should I be looking at getting one of the new 1440P/4K IPS Monitors that are coming out very soon.

Curious what people think on this matter I know what G-Sync does but at 1080p with a GTX 980 is it useful?

Depends. I could care less about artifacts when Vysnc is off, it's just not that noticable to me. If it has always been bothersome for you than Gysnc is worth it.

If you are looking to do 4k you will need another GTX 980, one is not nearly enough. 4k is extremely demanding, even with 2x 980's some games still can't be maxed out and maintain 60 fps.

2560x1440 is a great option now. Good pixel density, not crazy intensive like 4k gaming is for the GPU, and you can get some large screens at great prices.

So ya, its all personal preference. I personally am happy with my 32 inch 1440p 60hz monitor, just weigh the options :)

I considered getting the 1440p G-Sync but £650 is more than another 980 and just can't justify paying that for a monitor. I was looking at getting one of the new P2415Q 4K IPS Monitors one of the few high resolution 24 inch monitors at moment and running it at 1440p for gaming.

Viewing angles and Colors would certainly be better on a IPS Screen just wasn't sure if G-Sync would make that much of a difference. Is playing ultra high on 1080p versus high on 1440p a massive difference or not.
