GTX 980 2K performance

What do you call 2K res?
Traditionally names are based on vertical resolution (e.g. 720p, 1080p).
4K breaks this by quoting the approximate horizontal resolution.
2K resolution where it is used means approximate horizontal resolution as well, 1080p is a 2K resolution (1920x1080).
2560x1440 or 2560x1600 is the most common resolution between 1080p and 4K this is known as QHD.
