"Upgraded" from crossfire 6970s to this and went from 250-300 FPS to 80-110 FPS in l4d2 and from ~25-60 FPS in H1Z1 to ~10 FPS. should I have expected this? is this gpu really not that strong?

specs:
i7 2600k @ 4.3ghz
asus p8p67 WS Revolution motherboard
4 gb of gskill ddr3 ram (also was unable to add a second stick of ram without bricking my computer, another problem I've run into)

for what it's worth, my old gpus don't even work anymore now that I put them back in

Edit: Got my old GPUs working but they also are extremely laggy. What could cause this?

I believe we have to do a few test before we can say its the GPU fault. Whats the max memory your mobo supports?32GB because you should be able to add more RAM with no issues. try running memtest86 with each stick (the one running now and the other that brick your system), we have to figure if the second stick of memory is faulty, so you can get a new one.

My PC will run with either stick of RAM; only when I have both in will it brick the PC. Got my old GPUs running and they also have the same problem: about ~80 fps in L4D2 instead of the usual ~200+ I was getting before. What do you think could be the problem? Clearly it's not the GPU.
