Solution

You should probably wait until Q2 2015 when the new AMD GPUs will be available. Expect better performance from them (20nm and 3d stacked HBM) and that will also lead to price cuts from Nvidia. If you cannot wait, grab a 980 G1 edition.

what psu required for gtx 970 gigabyte g1 sli
it say in the box 550W that meen i need 1200w for sli

Mohamed, the box is suggesting a 550w PSU because that's probably around what it takes to run everything comfortably, like the motherboard, memory, and hard drives. The GTX 970 only requires 145 watts to run on its own, so adding another one for an SLI setup would work on your system.

thanks for ur help i will wait for 20nm chip

You're always welcome :benetton:

Why would you wait 6 month for 300 series and when they will come gtx 970 and 980 will drop 10-15% in price but you would enjoy of using your new GPU for already half a year also used Nvidia cards hold their value better on a used market due to the fact that many people are scared to buy an AMD card after mining and no one is using Nvidia cards for it because it isn't profitable!

I am an owner of 280x and I am telling you that you should go and buy 980 or 970! It worth it especially In a long run it is better than AMD

This Pyramid looks cool
