Hi So i bought MSI Gtx 980 4gb and i was so happy when it arrived the problem was i didn't had any two 8 pin connectors from GPU to PSU , I was in town next day looking in every shop computer and phone shop asking for connectors or similar pins , no luck was in electric repair shops asked if they can give me some similar pins no luck :(

So i was thinking can i use Standard wire don't know what voltage it supports but i bought it from ebay(china)

1.Cut wires
2.Stripped and taped wires
3.Used some Female connectors from fans
4.Shrink tape/wrap

The problem is No one has ever done this and i only found one forum so , im afraid to even test it :( ! http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33928077

So Im Using Seasonic PSU and Z97 S55 Mobo

GTX 980 came with 6 to 8 pin extension so im taking that as my guide but not sure if im wireing right :/ !

Anyone Know or done something like this ?

The Seasonic Power Supply should have supplied cables which fit the connections marked PCI-E. Plug them in there and to these connections on the GPU.

So ill be looking at 980 for 3 day's i go mad :D can't even use it . But i think i will take ur answer because i don't wan't to damage but if someone makes in future what i found out that is the each Pin is 12vol + http://cdn.overclock.net/f/f0/500x1000px-LL-f02106b2_SeasonicP1000PSURearPinouts.jpeg

so has to be right wire Amp http://www.rapidtables.com/convert/electric/1-amp-to-watt.htm
I seen somewhere online Diagram of AMP per pin to GPU
There are lot of wires with different AMP power rating.

Here is for my model on PSU
M12II-Bronze-03.jpg

So in make Case i think it's 24 A per 8 pins so for 2 8 pin connectors from gpu to PSU i would need 48 A (amp)

So 24 / 8 = 3 amp ( per one wire )

Yes i do but i will have to wait now 3 day's for the box to arrive with all my wires :/

I have all the wires yes.

Your link to the PSU isn't working for me... do you have the 620w or the 500w version? (Either should work fine)

So if i understand correctly, you are just lacking the extra 6 +2 pin/ 8 pin connectors that came with your PSU? So you are just waiting for the original PSU box (that has the needed connectors) to be shipped to you?
