I can't really find anything on Google or through the forums. I got a GTX 980 FTW yesterday, an upgrade from my 770. It is better but my benchmarks are lower than the average for 980's.
Benchmark:
GPU Notes
So mine seems to be significantly lower than the average. Not to mention I have the FTW edition which has higher clocks.
After I installed the GTX 980, I ran DDU, restarted. Installed latest 980 driver. Played around. Restarted. Now I am here. My performance has increased although I feel like there might be something I can do to increase the GPU output because it seems to be sub par to what most my configs are.
I have been thinking of doing a full wipe. Just to eliminate a bunch of variables but I am almost sure it won't help. So I am looking for any ideas or suggestions as to what might give my 980 the kick it needs to get the last little bit of power. Although I realize it might not be possible (or my expectations are to high), I just feel there might be something I missed.
Benchmark:
My Passmark 3DMark score: 8000 / Avg - 9600 (Note: The GTX 780 Avg's 8000)
Fire Strike: 9000 / Avg - Roughly 10-11k (With 8350@4.0Ghz/4.5Ghz)
BF4 (Maxed) - 60fps no drops.
Crysis 3 (Maxed) - Avg 50fps (Dips into 30's sometimes)
GPU Notes
It uses full power, no thermal throttles.
It clocks to almost 1300
I play 1080p/60Hz Monitor
