Those that are using a GTX 980, Which driver have you found that actually works and does not crash any games?
I bought a evga gtx 980 classified and no matter which driver i try
i get a black screen on some games?
This only happens on a few games but it is still a issue for me since i cannot play those games.
My previous 780ti did NOT have this problem and i was told by EVGA that my card is not the problem.

Welll rather than list all 60 of them that i play
here are the ones that have the black screen issue,
far cry 3 and 4
call of duty modern warfare 2 ,3 and 4
ghost recon 1 and 2
rogue warrior
NFS most wanted
metro last light
operation flashpoint

So as you can see there are at minimum 11 games that have the same issue.
what is Odd is that i can play Watch dogs all day long without a single crash or black screen?

using WIN 7 home
ASUS P8Z77 V pro MB
3770K i7
evga super nova G2 750 watt psu
16g RAM corsair vengence
CM hyper 212
optical drive and card reader

CPU no OC on that but my 980 comes stock with a very high factory OC(1400mhz in boost)

IF it will definitely allow me to use this $600 gpu without any issues then YES! LOL:lol:

I have a OSD with my afterburner i use and my CPU and GPU temps were all fine
I always monitor temps,Fps,GPU usage,Vram usage, etc on screen with this afterburner utility

yes i had seen this from a Google search thanks.
I have my fan profiles all set up to keep temps down
I use afterburner(which is the same as precision X) and i use fan expert 2 by ASUS for my CPU

I am a fanatic about my tower and there is no dust and my towers case has 9 fans so air flow is fine,
my max temps are nothing out of the norm.
Keep in mind that just a week ago my 780ti was fine in this same tower.
so i think it is a driver issue but how to resolve that?
I tired numerous drivers?

One thing i will try is going into the BIOS and setting my MB for Normal and not turbo
Right now it is set to turbo(optimal) so maybe that is causing the issue???
Have to fire up some games and see if they still get the black screen

yeah i definitely will as i am running out of possible things it could be?
I also have a back up gaming tower that is equally as good i can try with this GPU
that tower has
ASUS P8Z77 V LK
3570K i5
CM V8 cooler
16G RAM kingston
Pc and power and cooling Silencer MK II 750 watt psu
WIN 8.1
and 8 fans.
