I currently have my mind set on the Gigabyte GTX 980 with the windforce cooling, yada yada yada... Anyways, is there any reason I shouldn't get this card? Why exactly is it more expensive than the other 980s?

Solution
Look at the size , otherwise you may not find a PC case for it like GB GTX 970 that needs case with [strike]width more than 9.3 inch [/strike]!!!

Get EVGA , MSI , Asus

Edit :
Newegg says the size is 9.3 but i checked it s not correct ! it s about 5 inch but the cards are too long and need a large case !

Edit2:
GTX 970 is a better choice , because it is only 10% slower than GTX 980 but is cheaper .

This would be the only variant of the card I would get, mainly because it has a 600 watt cooler on it giving it tons of room to overclock and stay cool. The only reason I'm not getting it is because I wanna see what AMD has to dish out and how it compares in 2K plus resolutions.

That 600w cooler is complete BS and pure marketing.

Even the number seems absurd for air cooling.

I just checked out the video Linus did a few hours ago, and it turns out not only does this card draw more power than a 780 Ti, it doesn't perform that much better than the reference GTX 980. I gotta agree with rockie on this one. Get an MSI or Asus.
