GTX 980 question

So I recently built my PC (following specs)
Gtx 980
i7 4790k
16 gb ddr3 ram @ 1600
corsair 750 watt PS

When I play dayz and rust i get these random frame drops for some reason and I cant tell if its the game or my hardware. idk what the frames are in rust but they are def there. in dayz its anywhere from 60 down to 40 or 50 down to 30. I would just like some input please. I only have Dayz and rust so I cant really compare it to much. Dayz and the experimental rust are both buggy at times so idk. Its not a temp issue as the Cpu is liquid cooled and always stays below 30 degrees C and the highest ive seen the gpu is around 66 to 68 (52 average)

Sounds more like a software-related issue.

@turkey3_scratch now when you say software do you mean the game, drivers, bios, os. Plz use detail because idk what you mean, thanks

I'm getting the same frames with DAYz running a 5960x with GTX980. It's not a hardware issue... The game isn't optimized as it's still in Alpha. They're still implementing/adding features as the game is in alpha.

So don't sweat your hardware. Eventually the game should run smoothly once optimization is finished. Who knows when that'll be though.
