tiger direct messed my order up with a 970 and shipped a 760, and since they are out of stock of 970s i am getting a 980SC for the price of a 970. do i need to delete all nvidia drivers before slapping this bad boy in? also should i find the thing in windows for safley remove device beforehand? thanks!

It is usually a good idea to wipe drivers and do a fresh install when installing a new gpu...but I have upgraded several nvidia gpu's without wiping the drivers, just turned off the computer and dropped the new one in. No you dont need to safely remove hardware...your machine needs to be off when you make the switch.

Edit: "Safely Remove Hardware" is only for hardware that can be detached while the computer is running...
