GTX 980 Solid Capacitors?

Hi all,

I am looking to buy a GTX 980 reference design.

Some brands (MSI and Gainward) boast of having "solid capacitors". Will this really extend the lifespan and are they better than other brands of GTX 980 reference designs (Asus and EVGA)?

Or are all reference designs exactly the same including the capacitors?

I personally think that all reference designs are exactly the same and it wouldn't really matter which one you picked.

I understand they all use the same design from Nvidia, but are suppliers given freedom to choose their own capacitors as long as it fits into the reference design?

I would appreciate an expert's advice!
