Down below is my idea for a pc build primarily used for gaming. I need to maintain a $1500 price point and still have a gtx 980 ti. What are your thoughts about it? Is it all good?

Not bad, but I would make some changes. You can get 1866 ram, for like $2 more, which is well worth it. Motherboard, I would change to the MSI Z97 Gaming 5, as it is a THG recommended board. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-intel-amd-motherboard,3902.html I changed the PSU to an Evga 750w B2, to give a bit more headroom, for overclocking. You will want at least the 850w, if not a 1kw, if you ever intend to run SLI. Your build came out to $1526, when I clicked on it. You must have mail in rebates turned on.
