So, i bought a brand new unopened EVGA reference 980 ti on ebay a couple weeks back for $550. It was DOA... i know i know. Sent RMA in and just got a new replacement from evga with an asic score of 81.6%! Im seeing kindpins go for 1k+ with an asic above 80%. My question is, should i try to sell this card above msrp to an OC enthusiast that will use the board (im not going to do water cooling or much oc ) to its capabilities? I could just buy another none binned 980 ti... all the same to me.

Any idea how much i could get for it? Ebay seller fees are rediculous these days.

Thanks,

If you like money then sell it. If you want bragging rights keep it. It might be able to run higher boost clocks more of the time seeing as it has a nice ASCI score.. Kingpin's however have a special design that is not even close to the same as a reference card to allow for higher clocks and extreme power draw.

I was able to run through firestrike at 1520ish core with the fan set to 75%. 21000 something gpu score. Ill just keep it. If i decide i need more performance for some crazy reason... ill buy an evga hybrid cooler when they go on sale. I dont like running overclocks on my cards... but its nice knowing i can.

Thanks,

Seems pretty average to me honestly. Most overclocking 980ti benchmark tests on youtube all reach right around 1520 before becoming unstable. It really appears the newer cards suffer far less from the silicone lottery.

Hell, mine got mine to 1522mhz while stress testing using 3dMark after 20 minutes of tweaking. Just enjoy the card. :)

Will do, it boosts itself to 1250 while under 83c. Once it hits 83c it does down to 1125ish. Im definately loving the performance :) also, i didnt try anything past 1520 or adjust the voltage. This is the first card I've even checked my asic quality on.... heh
