so im planning on getting a new 1440p but i can't seem to find there are too many! anyway to the main subject

my current build is:

i5 4690k @ 4.4Ghz
H80i liquid cooler
Asrock z97 pro3
Amd 7870 XT
corsair CX750m
2x4GB of DDR3 1600mhz ram
120GB Samsung EVO 850
1TB WD Blue

so im looking for a GTX 980Ti and currently looking at the Asus DirectCU 3
so does my system look good for the 980 ti? i only just got my PSU like 3 months ago so i really don't want to change it....what do you guys think? is the 980 ti an overkill for 1440p gaming? also if you can recommend me a good 1440p monitor it would be great :)

thanks for your time :D

Well, you have the right idea. The 980ti is recommended for max settings @ 1440p // 144hz.

Unfortunately your PSU is junk with very high failure rates. Personally there is no way I would put a 980ti to that PSU. Its a $680 card on a $60 PSU. Sure it will work though. If you like playing with Fire and TNT in your bathroom.

I should add, If you have the $680 to spend on a 980ti, Then you should have atleast have a $200 PSU.

so i will have no trouble running the GTX 980 Ti on my current PSU? what's the 980 ti psu requirement anyway?

The aser has only been out for a few months, all the reviews i have seen have it compared to the ROG Swift and they say the Aser is the better of the two.
