Question Gtx 980 ti driver issues

When testing an old graphics card, I used DDU to remove the 980 ti's drivers and continued to install the drivers for the other one (1050 ti). Having made sure that it was working, I put the 1050 ti away after removing the drivers used to test it through DDU. However, my problem is that now on my 980 ti, drivers seemingly aren't working, especially the newer ones. Even if I roll back my driver version to the one where it last worked properly, the drivers will work for a day or so then they will stop seemingly out of nowhere, leading to games becoming incredibly jittery and essentially unplayable, forcing me to reinstall the drivers so that they work again (for a limited time). Does anyone know how to fix this? I hate having to reinstall my drivers just to be able to play games. For the newer driver versions, games will not run smoothly at all, just making the more up-to-date drivers useless Please help!
P.s. Before I tested the 1050 ti, the drivers worked perfectly and I've never had any problems with the card before.

When you state using the last known stable drivers for the GT980Ti, which version of GeForce drivers are we talking about? As common practice would have it for Nvidia, they tend to phase out support for their older cards in favor of their newer lineups.

You could probably try sourcing much older drivers and then installing the latter versions as an update(sans DDU). I've had to do the same thing with some APU build's whereby the latest drivers wouldn't work unless I had a couple of revisions prior installed and then had the latest drivers atop of that.

my last stable drivers were 436.30, from around September I believe. I have been hesitant to try any other drivers released between that one and 441.66 (the latest) as I believe it would lead to the same result. I'll be sure to try your fix however and see if it works.

I took a look at the device description in device manager and found that it says:
\VEN_10DE&DEV_17C8&SUBSYS_32351462&REV_A1\4&AC372AD&0&0008 was deleted.
I don't know if this has anything to do with the issue but I thought it may be a problem.
