I have planned to complete my rig February next year..so my question is when will the Nvidia Pascal release and should wait for it or get myself a gtx 980 ti.

One major factor im considering about the Nvidia Pascal is its price ..What would be its price approximately ? will it cost more than the titan or equivalent to it, Or will it cost like the Nvidia tesla gpu's.. Share your thoughts and give me suggestions.

My best guess is Q2 of next year. Pricing and performance is anyones guess.
As for your specific case. If you are planning to make this purchase in February, wait until then to make the decision. If all else fails there will be more information, and likely lower prices.

In my opinion , Nvidia is bluffing about Pascal. It is just my own theory, you are welcome to disagree . They are claiming 10 times performance over maxwell and some reports say 60-90% improvement. But they have not specified it for real time gaming purposes.
But NVidia as a company has no incentive to push out such a major update when AMD is struggling to make any advancements in the manufacturing process and relying barely on optimizing older cards. Even if they do have the claimed performance improvements , they wil be priced equivalently . So at the end , no matter what happens , you will be paying more for more performance. Selling a newly launched card with better performance and cheaper price will never happen unless they want to suffer from major loss by the dead sale of 900 series cards , and shut down AMD. they might even go the AMD way , and just use all this hbm2 and other stuff in only their titan update , rest will only be ddr5 with 16nm manufacturing.
Also there wont be 980ti counterpart , since ti variants only come out to even the gap , if any arises by newer amd launches. Else they continue selling lower performance stuff for more

Well if watch jen sen keynote on GTC 2015 you will understand how nvidia got that 10times performance than maxwell for pascal. But then again they talk about it in GTC.....not in gaming event. So everthing they said back then is nothing about gaming. Nvidia has been been talking about Pascal for two years straight in their GTC event. And none of the talk talking about Pascal gaming side of thing.

Depends, for example my 780ti is still doing really well so I'm feeling patient and can wait since I am happy with performance.

If you don't have a GPU or not happy with your GPU get the 980ti, there are too many amazing games out right now that need to be played and that GPU will play the hell out of any game.

My prediction: Titan ZX or XZ is coming out next which will be a 2x titan x and/or 980ti. Then we'll see the little Maxwell 980/970 replacements with full and cut down little Pascals, then another titan GPU with a fully enabled big Pascal followed by a ti cut down of that so my guess for the big Pascal is end of 2Q/3Q as they have no pressure from AMD. I have a feeling the little Pascal that should come out first will be 980/970 priced with 980ti like performance if performance per dollar is more important than getting the best now as you mentioned Feb being GPU purchase time.

I was planning to get a gtx 980 ti in december or january and then get another gtx 980 ti by the end or in the mid of 2016 for sli.. but now i think i have to wait longer to decide 🙁

Well that is why im puzzled because 10x more than a titan is really a vast improvement..and for 10x more performance ..its cost might also be atleast 5x more than the titan... So judging from what you said the pascal would be a workstation gpu ,and i know that workstation gpu's like tesla and quadro m6000 that cost around 2k,3k etc.If the pascal costs around 1500$ then i might be able to get it but if the price is 2k or more then i won't even think about it.

So that means its a workstation gpu..Well lets see if it gives 10x performance in games and in what way.

Problem is that i neither have a high end pc nor a graphic card. This will be my first ever gaming build and gtx 980 ti is the best according to its price ratio.. I am hoping that they show some in game performance of the pascal then i'll decide between the pascal and gtx 980 ti.

It's a tough time for a new build right now, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the 980 ti in july and will either sell or sli next year so I'm not stressed but no doubt Pascal will see major improvement but on gaming side 10x titan performance for what price? 980 ti price? I highly highly doubt that and like said above those numbers are for workstation cards, not gaming front.

My guess is 980 will probably equal 980 ti performance, price wise...maybe 549. Another titan with maybe 50-70% performance increase for 1000? Maybe something inbetween at 700...Probably unless AMD brings real competitive cards, and then things might get good for the consumer.

The real performance upgrade from 980ti, furyx and titanx will be volta I believe, in 2018. That should be a significant step. Or maybe reworked versions of pascal with extra performance in 2017.

EDIT: And honestly I am very pleased with my purchase, even if I had to sit on it and miss pascal. I wont but if I had too, it's still a solid purchase.

Well people are even happy with gtx 780 780 ti or a 680 etc But when we have to build something new then the idea of getting the best thing and future proof comes to the mind.. Technology now a day is just comes out like a bolt from the blue..I first had made my mind to get r9 390 and then crossfire..Then i heard about crossfire issues ..So i planned for the gtx 980 ti and sli it with another one after some months...And now this pascal ruined my plan..I just want to see in game performance .. If it really performs 10x and gives remarkable performance and fps on 4k with everything on ultra and aa then i'll remain patient and save some more money to buy it.. But until that i have no idea.

It won't be 10x performance for gaming, expect 30-50% over 980ti/titan x and a titan variant first.

The 980/970 replacements will be out first with about 980ti/titan x performance range for a lower price point if you're looking for a better performance per dollar ratio vs. getting the fastest/most expensive.

Titan x came out and most folks weren't ready to drop 1k on a GPU and had to wait a few months before the ti came out so I'd imagine a similar cycle for 2016.
