[SOLVED] Gtx 980 TI Strix PSU good?

I don't know if it is good enough for Gtx980 TI STIRX.

NOT good. That's a poor and horrible quality PSU model. Stay away from this NJOY brand. Grab a HIGH quality unit asap. These are some good and high quality units. Look for similar SKUs. This list is not exhaustive though. There are more models and brands as well.

SEASONIC PRIME, and Prime Ultra, or FOCUS Plus GOLD, Focus Plus Platinum.

CORSAIR AXi, RMi, RMx 550/650W, SF, HX 2017, HXi.

FSP - Hydro PTM 550/650W.

Cooler Master - MasterWatt Maker MiJ, V series 550/650W.

Antec - High Current Pro, High Current Platinum, Earthwatts Pro Gold, HCG Gold.

Super Flower - Leadex Gold II.

be Quiet! - Dark Power Pro 11, Straight Power 11, Dark Power Pro P10.

EVGA -Supernova G1+, GQ, P2, T2, G2, B2, BQ =>750.

They got over 270 watts just from the video card.

That power supply says 40A on the 12 volt rail so a 480 watt power supply but I would think it would go up in smoke before it could hit 480 watts.

That's a very bad PSU with a fake 80 Plus badge. Replace it before it brings your system to hell.

I see that those PSUs have only 2x 8(6+2) pins, one goes to the motherboard but my gpu needs 2 more.

2x 8(6+2) pins goes to the GPU. 4+4 and 24 (20+4) goes to the motherboard. It's working fine with those 2 PSUs.

On the specs for the card it says 600 w so i should think you will be right there. 🙄

Please message the OP with your contact information so you can send them money when their card fries in two months after running on a dodgy junk PSU made by a company that's notable for faking 80 Plus certifications.

Often power isn't an issue, as much as quality is. Junk units inflate the amperage on the 3.3v and 5v rails, and skimp on the 12v rails, which GPU's need, to reach their target wattage.
