hi i just wanna ask im planning to buy a GTX 980 Ti right now. and i cant decide on a CPU yet. and im waiting for the new AMD APU before deciding. will the 980 Ti bottleneck my AMD A6 3650?
Here's my specs right now.

AMD A6 3650
Emaxx A55GM iCafe
8 GB G.Skill Ripjaws
1TB HDD
Corsair VS650

let me know thanks!

The 980 Ti will certainly not bottleneck that CPU, as the 980 Ti is much more powerful than that CPU. If you meant to ask if your CPU will bottleneck the 980 Ti, yes it more than likely will.

Why would you wait for an AMD APU? If you're using a high-end graphics card like a 980 Ti, an APU is a waste. You won't be using the better integrated graphics, which is the entire point of an APU. You want a CPU like an i5 or i7 if you're looking to get a high-end graphics card.

im also looking forward on an i5 4690 that would be fine i guess? so if i buy 980 ti right now. am i fine i guess?
will probably buy new mobo and the i5 4690 sometime around next week.

Yes, that CPU is a good choice. I have the i5 4690K (I like to overclock, hence the K version) and I love it. You'll be happy with the performance of a new i5, new mobo and a 980 Ti.

I mean, as long as you have a PCIe slot for the graphics card, it'll work. Your current processor will hold back its performance, but if it's only for a week I don't see why it would be a problem.

The CPU will bottleneck the 980 Ti, but if you plan on upgrading then there is no issue. Regardless there wouldn't be an issue, but it would be pointless. Also ditch the idea of even considering APU's in the future with your 980 Ti. Its pointless.

What PSU do you have? Need to make sure you can handle the 980 Ti. I have some concerns considering you're running an A6.

how much percentage will it hold back? i was 2 weeks max. until i will buy the new mobo and cpu.
if its gonna perform same like my 750 ti. hence i will just wait to buy all at once?

Hard to say. It will perform better, but probably not by a whole lot. Your A6 3650 is pretty old. If you know that you can get a 980 Ti at the same time as your CPU and mobo (they tend to be sold out where I am and online lately) then I would do that.

currently the i5 4690 is sold out on the store i was looking here in the philippines. so i need to wait a week for the new stocks to come. and any suggested cheap motherboard to pair with i5 4690?

Gigabye Z97 motherboards are pretty cheap right now, although i'm in the US and not the philippines. Any cheap Z97 board with an LGA 1150 socket would be good.
