GTX 980 turns off while gaming

I have recently build my computer and ever since then my gpu GTX 980 turns off while playing high detailed games such as The division..Archage and so on, I have no idea why it's been happening for a while now.

May be the PSU isn't powerful enough when the GPU is working hard? Worth investigating.

I have a RM1000 PSU isn't that enough power..?

There are two most common reasons for shutdown:

1) PSU not providing enough power
2) Overheating of the GPU

First check your GPU temps - if they are fine, definitely test with a different PSU to remove the PSU out of the equation.

The GPU temp is fine could it be the PSU I've got a corsair RM1000?..
