GTX 980ti on 2k display

Hello,

I've been wanting to upgrade my 5 year old monitor. I currently have the Nvidia GTX 980ti OC. Will it run good on a 2k 144hz monitor or should I stick to the good old 1080p monitor and just upgrade to a better 1080p monitor?

P.S How is the Asus PG279Q 27"? On paper it looks like every gamer's dream but is it worth that much money?

Yeah will run it well. Obviously 1440p is more demanding than 1080p to run, but with g-sync you wont really notice the lower frame rates as much.

1440p is totally worth it over 1080p
