hello, i am going to purchase 1 of this cards, i've seen some videos for fps and looks like the 980 ti is slightly better than 1070. how is it possible? shouldn't be better the 1070 ?

anyway i am going to play at 1080 p now maybe with a high fps monitor in the future.

what gpu do you think should i get ? the price is very similar in italy. thank you.

Solution
1070 without a doubt.
Older Nvidia cards underperform in DX12 games. This is architectural and has been adressed in teh latest generation. So, as DX12 games come out, the 1070 will distance itself. Add to this the extra 2 gigs of vram and this is a no-brainer.

@Hlsgsz ok than 1070 😀

what about asus strix, does it make a notable difference or i just can pick a msi gygabite ?

Realistically, there's little difference between the cards apart from cooler, looks and price, a little out-of-the-box OC isn't going to make much practical difference and DIY oveclocking is constrained by the many limiters Nvidia have built into the hardware and BIOS.
A few points:
Italy has a varied climate, if you live in the hotter parts, look for a better cooler.
Check local websites for feedback on warranty and customer service, this is an expensive purchase, make sure you have as much protection as possible.
Most of the coolers will turn their fans OFF under idle or light load conditions, don't be alarmed if you see idle temperatures of 60C or so with the fans off, it's normal.
