Question GTX and RTX

I read somewhere GTX and RTX doesn't work together. I got confused and reaching out to clarify this.

If I have 2 cards of each type they won't work in SLI but they work perfectly fine as a separate card in the same setup?

Sli only work with 2 GPU’s of the same model, for example 2x1070’s or 2x2080Ti’s. You cannot mix models like 2080Ti & 2080.

Before even considering sli research the limitations of sli. Generally sli is not worth, support is dying and the performance scaling is often disappointing.

This was not really what I asked. I know that you need 2 same cards for SLI. What I'm interested in if GTX and RTX structure, without SLI works together as separate cards in the same configuration.

They should work fine as separate cards on the same system as well, IMO (without SLI that is).

Yes. That's what they are saying. The 2 dissimilar cards will work in the same motherboard, just not in SLI mode.
