Hi, my gtx geforce 650 ti 2gb (not boost) is not registering on my computer. Everytime I hook it up, the fan turns on for the graphics card, but the drivers can't install, because my computer isn't reading it. I have attached pictures of my cables to see if I wired it wrong.

Solution

There are no lights on the card? Or none turned on? All the good video cards I've seen lately will have green lights turned on to indicate that power is getting to the card. Make sure the card is seated correctly, the auxiliary connectors are connected to it, and it is hooked into the PSU (assuming the PSU is modular).

no, there are no lights

Dammit. Did not mean to choose this as a solution. but the power supply is a corsair cx750m

I have a pci simple communications controller missing. Could that be something?

There are no lights on the video card itself. The fan whirs and everything, and it seated correctly

Yes, PCIe is the slot your video card goes in on the motherboard. Try having windows automatically update it.

I installed the drivers, its not longer missing, but my card is still not being detected.

Did you turn the computer completely off before trying to detect it again? That will sometimes help.

yes, I turned it off, then on after the installation.
