GTX Titan or Not?

So i still can't quite figure out which graphics cards to upgrade to. I've read alot of reviews proclaiming the Titan to be a monster and the best of the best. And then there are some which say the 690 reigns supreme. I currently have 2 1920x1080p Monitors and im going to purchase a new monitor thats 2560x1600 and slap that in the center. I'll be gaming on that monitor only and ahve the other two to watch streams and what not at the same time as i like to do. My Current pc build is :

i7 2600k
Asrock Z68 Extreme7 Gen 3
16Gb Corsair RAM
1200W Corsair PSU

My options that im considering are either 2 GTX 680s in SLI / 2 GTX 690s in SLI / 2 GTX Titans in SLI. I realise the 680 is the ideal choice for most because its way cheaper and puts out incredible power. But I'm the type of person that likes the best even if it cost a hell of alot So with that being said and the price of each card aside. Which cards would produce the best performance gaming on 2560x1600. So Many reviews show that titan isn't all that better then dual 680s, and then some show it having results double the 680s. What is your guys opinions for the top performing card? Thanks in advance

If you have the cash do it, Titan drivers will only get better. Is it worth the price hell no but its the fastest single gpu as you know and none of the SLI pains!
