I am trying to decide whether to get a GTX 1060-1080 vs a Quadro P or M 2000-4000 series card for a computer. I will be streaming camera video to it only, no CAD or video software installed. Around 8 cameras streaming H.264 @ 30FPS. I don't really want to spend more money on a Quadro if if it not needed. I see all kinds of posts on how better the Quadro is for CAD type and drawing objects, but no posts for streaming camera packets. I'm not sure but the card may not make much difference at all.. Does the CPU do more than a GPU when camera streaming is involved? If it the GPU, would the GTX be as good as the Quadro?
