GTX1080 and my rig compatible

I have a Asus x58 sabertooth motherboard
i7 950 cpu
1000W PSU
currently have a Asus gtx580 and want to replace with gtx1080.

Will my rig support the GTX1080?

Yes but your CPU will bottleneck the 1080.
