I am interested in purchasing the new Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 GPU for my current build, but my motherboard has a bump on it that looks like it may be in the way of a larger sized GPU. My motherboard is the MSI 760gma-p34(fx). Here is a link to a picture of the bump (the bump is circled in red). Will I be able to fit a large graphics card such as the GTX 1080 onto this motherboard?
And yes, I know that this motherboard is not great. I will be switching it out in the future, but I just need to know if I can use it for now. Yes, I am also aware that any modern GPU should, in theory, work fine with my motherboard because I have a PCI-e 2.0x16 slot, but I don't know if I can physically fit the card on the motherboard due to that little bump.
