Hello,

I am thinking to replace my GTX1080ti OC with a RTX4070ti (mostly gaming at 1440p).

But i was recently made aware of the CPUs/GPUs "bottleneck" issue.

So I am now wondering if i would encounter this problem after the upgrade, which would mean an extra great cost (buying a new cpu and motherboard) that i didn't take in consideration which is not ideal at all.

I had feedbacks from other people that with this cpu i shouldn't have any problem, but then i tried one of the "bottleneck calculator" and i got these negative results: https://pc-builds.com/en/bottleneck-calculator/result/0RM1dN/1/general-tasks/2560x1440/

what do you think?

if i would have to change CPU/MOBO, i will just wait for the 5000series card and do a general PC upgrade.

Bottleneck calculators are complete garbage!

Easy answer buy the card and see if your happy with the performance if your not then upgrade the rest when you can.

Just the word bottleneck should never be used every PC has one it's more of a limiting factor than the B word and can change to a different part depending on what your doing with the PC.

in this case I woud agree sihce 9900K is not the same as some lowely 2 or 4 core i3 or i5 from 10 years ago.
At max settings should be fine.
With Raytracing,perfect.
