GTX260 on a generic 600-watt PSU, will it work?

My PSU has only one rail of 12V with 21A. Is this sufficient?

I am currently having no problems running a 9600GT on it.

My current setup:

Athlon II X2 250
Gigabyte AMD780G chipset mobo
WD Caviar 750GB SATA
LG CD/DVD-RW Combo Drive

Welcome to the forums.

It could work, but i wouldn't recommend it. Here is a cheap psu that would work. Generic brand wont have protection so if it were to go out it could take components.

I plan on getting the HEC Raptor 500W. Is this a good PSU? Is it future-proof? I mean able to power the GTX300 series mid-range cards?
