so my motherboard only has a PCI-E slot and my CPU is a quadcore Q8200
been almost 2 years since I upgraded my graphics card. im using a GTS 250 right now
thinking of upgrading to GTX 570 to play BF3 and MW3.
will my PCI-E 1.0 slot or CPU bottleneck it?

16x PCIe 1.0 has the same amount of bandwidth as 8x PCIe 2.0. This is what we use for CF/SLI setups so if its good enough for that, its good enough for a single card.

Don't worry about your board either. If it can run a 45nm quad, it will have no issue with the card. Nvidia still uses 2.0 cards and not the 2.1 cards which are the rumored cards which have issues. You'll be fine to use the GTX570.

Go for it !! I have an one week old ASUS GTX460 TOP running in my Intel DG35EC with Core2QuadQ8200 @ 2.33GHz in a PCIe1.1 slot without hitch .

But your quad might me your biggest setback and limiting factor but i'm not pretty sure about that though .
