This is my setup:
A Gigabyte P8Z77-v LX2 Motherboard
An Nvidia 660 Graphics card
An Intel i5 3570 CPU

My problem is: I can't get dual monitors to work with my 660 card as before with an GTX560.

If I just have my Monitor with DVI cord attached and boot everything boots fine. If I plug the TV HDMI cord to, it just boots on the HDMI side and does nothing on the DVI side, unstill windows appears.

I "played" in the screen resolution change with displays, but it does not affect the boots.

I would like to change the primary screen to my monitor, to see how the system boots up. Beacuse i use my monitor as primary display normaly.

Thanks a lot!

Hi!
I (only)unplugged the dvi cable and plugged it in to the other "slot".
It works fine now.

I tried this, and anything i can think of and nothing works. One port is labeled "VGA / DVI-I" which is the one that i want to be primary, and the other is hdmi. The HDMI is my TV, which for some reason continues to be set to default! This is so frustrating!

And your card must have another dvi slot. That is the one, you have to use with your dvi cable. It is only a priority problem.

In priority: is first the dvi-d
Than comes the hdmi than the dvi-i.

Are you using a dvi-hdmi adapter??

Yeah I have two dvi ports, but I thought the DVI-I (which I also think is labeled VGA for some reason as well,) was the primary. Ill have to try the DVI-D port then. Before I got a new monitor I had a DVI to HDMI cable plugged into the DVI-I port and a HDMI to the TV and that was recognized in the right order, but now with straight DVI-I to the monitor and HDMI to the tv, the tv is getting set as primary; #1 instead of #2. I've looked tirelessly over the internet and found many people with the same issue of just wanting to be able to re-order the displays with no luck and no real response from Microsoft.
