Hi there everyone, Thanks a lot in advance for taking the time to read this and help me out!

Current setup - Win 7 64bit, Nvidia gtx 680, Asus motherboard
I recently updated my GTX680 drivers from the nvidia website. if i can remember correctly, it was the following day that my pc wouldnt start and came up with a blue screen of death saying some 'nvlddmkm.sys' error. after googling it, i tried the recommended suggestions and did a clean uninstall using DDU and reinstalled the nvidia drivers. this time no blue screen, but the pc kept restarting and would only load with the basic onboard drivers. i did this with several other older nvidia drivers after downloading them. but nothing worked.

so i got a fresh hard disk and reinstalled a newer OS (win 10) and windows booted with the basic onboard drivers. So i installed nvidia drivers and the pc again would only load in safe mode untill i did a clean uninstall of nvidia drivers. It then loaded with the onboard drivers

This was driving me mad, so i searched for my older graphics card (ATI firegl) and connected it to ther motherboard. but to no avail. it still only uses the basic onboard drivers.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks again!
