Hey guys. I'm using gtx680 sli but planing to upgrade. I seen some benchmarks with 980 but I dunno or they official. I'm guessing single gtx980 will beat gtx680 sli or not?
Probably not. A 680 SLI is equal to or greater than a GTX 690. The 980 benchmarks are not official; no news regarding the 9XX series has been released from Nvidia at the time.
A 680 SLI will probably be better than a single 980 but it will be naturally bottlenecked in 4K due to each GPU only having 2GB of VRAM.

The 980 is supposed to be on par or maybe a little faster than the gtx 780ti depending on clocks/overclocking. The 780ti beats sli gtx 680's at ultra HD, but not so much at lower resolutions.
The question is, what resolution are you gaming at or plan to game at?
