GTX680 Sli

Just a quick question, i am buying a GTX680 very soon and was thinking of SLI in the future.

The card i am getting is Gigabyte GeForce GTX 680
2GB Overclocked to 1137MHz.

Now my question is this.
If i want to SLi say in a few months, does the card have to be the exact same, (Gigabyte GeForce GTX 680
2GB Overclocked to 1137MHz) or can it be an other brand GTX680 that is has another clock speed?
i.e EVGA GeForce GTX 680 2GB 1006MHz.

If this makes seance i'd love some info on this.

Stick with reference if you going SLI, make sure they have the same amount of VRAM. Clocks speed to do not really matter, and you can always adjust speeds using an app like EVGA Precision

lol, I know you've probably been told before and it's posted everywhere so you've probably read it before. But I'm going to say it anyway. Get a GTX 670, you can get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130843... The FTW signature edition which is about $40 (U.S.) less the 680 with the same performance when OC'd. That being said, when you do SLI I would recommend getting the same brand just to avoid any potential prolems.
