Ok so basically like the title explains. I have a 390t Hp desktop.
It comes with a 460w PSU. Only one 6 pin power connector.
I just wanted to ask which graphics card is better (obviously the 960)
but I want to know if there is enough difference in power. If not I rather get the 750 of course.
My budget is 250 dollars.
Or if there is a more powerful card for the same money that fits in the case and goes with the 460PSU I would appreciate that too.

GTX750: Core Clock 1020MHz
Boost Clock 1085MHz
Cuda Cores 640

GTX960: Core Clock 1216 MHz
Boost Clock 1279 MHz
Cuda Cores 1024

GTX950: Core Clock 1152MHz
Boost Clock 1342MHz
Cuda Cores 768

Thank you for your time!

id personally go with the 960 - Im not convinced of the addition of 4gb on a 128 bit bus but its cheap enough at the moment to buy for the sake of it.
Assuming your running a sub 90w i5 it'll run on your current psu absolutely fine.

see that pc comes with the i7-980x - a 130w cpu??
thats close on psu requirements but id say youll still be ok.

are you claiming HP use poor quality PSUs? I highly doubt that. In my experience HP usually use good quality PSUs.

Check your motherboards manual if it supports newer graphics card. Check your power supply specs if you can support a better card. Between the 960 and 950, the 950 is definitely better value, but if you can stretch to a 960 I would get that instead. The reason it's so good is overclocking but you probably won't be able to overclock anything on that power supply. Time will tell.

In their computers that don't come with GPUs, yes.
If you don't know the exact specs of an OEM PSU you should always assume it's t5 before learning otherwise.

I am not planning to overclock, also I once had heard that the more Cuda Cores the better? I know I am a noob lol. As for the GTX960, the PSU requirements says it's 400w. If I get the 960 will I really be pushing the limit of the PSU? Money is not really an issue, the life of the computer is.

Alrighty just last question, when it comes to memory the 960 comes in 4gb, whilst the 950 comes in only 2gb. Is there a big impact when it comes to video games? I was hoping for at 1920x1080p, 60fps, at medium settings

Well, to clarify the GTX 960 does come with 2GB only. However 4GB is extra that vendors can put on the GPU.

The extra 2GB is only good for higher resolutions, 1080P at ultra should be fine for a 2GB frame buffer.

Some games can require more than 3GB at 1080P at the highest settings... and of course those "some games" will only increase in number as graphics become more demanding.

Sweet, so overall you say the 950?

Some benchmarks. I would get the GTX 960, if I had the money. But GTX 950 is good enough too.

Do you think the 960 would be alright considering my PSU?

Which psu model do you have exactly? If its not the cheapest model, 460 W should be more than enough. Nvidia says 400 W psu as minimum, but this already plenty.

In this review for the MSI 960
"System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 237 Watts"
"GeForce GTX 960 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 400 ~ 450 Watt power supply unit."

If your psu is not unusual bad or low quality, then 460 W is even enough to overclock the GTX 960 a little.

its a delta model psu & is decent quality - the fact they only include a single 6 pin is in all honesty sensible imo so people cant masssively overload it.
it has a max output of 25a total on the 12v which isnt incredible but is plenty for a 950 & maybe for a 960 depending on the cpu.

Like Madmatt said, it's a Delta Electronics model 460BA. I know I can handle the 950 for sure, I just really want to go with the 960. But alas the PSU problem.

This is the card I am planning to get by the way

It says 400 PSU requirement.

Vs.

The 950.

What do you guys think? Thanks for all your inputs by the way. Really appreciate it.
