GTX760 HDMI not working

Hi all

I've got a VGA monitor. The DVi > VGA works fine. But I can't get HDMI > VGA to work. Have also brought TV in and tried HDMI > HDMI and this didn't work either. Basically I've ruled out faulty sockets and cables apart from the graphics card socket - so I guess this is a potential candidate. However, I wonder if I need to install a driver or change a setting....

The goal is to achieve dual monitor using 1x DVi > VGA and 1x HDMI > VGA (or HDMI > HDMI depending on whether I can borrow the cable again!)

Any help much appreciated.

I'd say if the HDMI port on the 760 ain't working for you if your trying the adapters and just plain HDMI to HDMI (PC to the TV you bought i'm guessing) then you have a faulty GPU in that department. Just make sure all the latest Nvidia drivers are installed by checking for updates if installed or downloading the drivers from the Nvidia Website

If all the drivers are indeed installed then you do indeed have a faulty GPU & you should RMA the product from where you bought it immediately or try and get a replacement or refund.

Yeah, looks like a good call from you. You always hope someone's going to say "hey I had that same problem then I did this and it's fine now" but in this case, looks like faulty hardware. Darn. Weeks without a GPU. I'll have to take up drugs. That's a joke of course. I took them up ages ago. Joking, joking.

So the DVI-I works fine to VGA at least. But not the HDMI to VGA or to HDMI. I'm getting hold of a cable to try the DVI-D socket, just to fully test the thing before I start RMA-ing. Drivers are all up to date so it's not that. Well, it's not the busiest of threads is it and I'm already bumping quite a way by posting this so best answer goes to... wait, let me just think... well, it's got to be Walshy really. Thanks mate.
