Hi all, it's about that time to upgrade again. So what should I do? Upgrade to the 970? R9 290x? Or should I get a second gtx770?

I know now that I made a mistake getting the 2gb. Retrospect eh?

I'll have to work out if my mobo will be any good for sli, and if I'll have enough power, but that's a topic for another thread.

Thanks!

SLI 770s is extremely powerful, and will max out any game out today on 1080p. That said, we are seeing games out now that are making use of more than 2Gb memory, and we can only assume this will continue to be the trend. SLI770 will outperform a single 970 right up until the point where the game wants more than 2Gb, then the 970 will start to take over.

I'd say look for the 970. If your PSU is enough for a single 770, it is enough for a single 970 (they are very power efficient). So money saved there. Then you also don't need to worry about whether or not your motherboard supports SLI.
