Hello Guys/Gals

i have a HD7870GHz oc in my comp at the mo but im upgrading next month or earlier i hope to either a GTX 770 or R9 280X i looked @ Reviews etc and the only game the R9 280X wins is BF4 because of mantle etc but every other game seems the GTX 770 comes out on top, now i use my comp for live streams to twicth.tv and wondered which card would be better i play most games not just BF4 so wondered if the GTX770 would be better card?? but in my mind the R9 280X comes with a 3GB vram, and before you say buy a GTX770 with 3GB its not in my price range so which card would be better have always used AMD for cards but fancied Nvidia this time whats your thoughts thank you.

If you stream to twitch, go with the 770. It has Nvidia's Shadowplay which will let you stream to twitch with basically no fps loss. You might lose 1-3 fps at the most. It is an extremely efficient screen recorder. It can also be used to save videos locally for youtube or something like that.

If you want to play max res at ultra in best FPS you will need 3GB , 3GB is overkill if your just a regular gamer. If you use texture packs and mods i suggest you get 3gb vram. Always check the specs from the manufacturer website, price is not everything.

Also, another thing to note, is that there are 4GB models of the 770. The performance is pretty much identical, BUT, if you plan to ever get another 770 and run them in SLI, then the 4GB would be worth buying. A single 770 can't utilize the 4GB on it's own, so it's only worth getting if you are going to SLI with another 4GB 770 in the future.

Hey man that is a good reply the sound of hardly any FPS loss is good to me i have plenty of upload speed to stream which isnt the problem just my gfx card drops when streaming with mantle enabled on BF4 i get 120+fps when i stream it drops to about 60-70fps and i like a good amount off fps so i tight spots with lots going on it doesnt go below 60fps cause i like it smooth.

no i would go with 1 770 2GB version cause the 4GB one is out my price range as just built a new rig cant go any higher and eventually i will be putting in a 780ti model anyway.
