Gtx960 low fps

Hi everyone I am new to the forum,

My current set up is
asus gtx 960 turbo oc with 4gb gddr5
Msi 970a-g43 plus motherboard
Amd 8320 fx black edition 3.5 ghz

I am consistently getting 60fps on ALL games and I know it should be higher if anyone has any questions or can help me out that would be appreciated

Do you have vsync on? Vsync limits framerate to the refresh rate of the monitor. You may be able to get a little higher, but I wouldn't expect a ton. (In AAA games at least)

Welcome to the forum! 60 FPS seems about right with that setup but it also depends on settings and resolution. Like blankcr8 said you can try to disable vsync and see how much higher the FPS will go (given that the game doesn't have a limit).

Would a better graphics card be able to to run higher fps with the same processor or would both need an upgrade ?

Both. You could always overclock you CPU but we need to know your resolution to suggest a gpu upgrade

Running An lg 34" 2560x1080 monitor

With that resolution you could probably upgrade to a gtx 1060 6gb or an RX 580 8gb, but that fx CPU might bottleneck it a little. I would personally leave it unless you're really struggling and upgrade later with CPU.
