Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Remove the GTX970 from your platform, with the GT545, use DDU and remove all GPU drivers(even non Nvidia drivers) from your platform, shut down, disconnect from the wall, remove the GT545, drop in the GTX970 and place it into the first PCIe slot and see if things change for you. Also, are you on the latest BIOS version for your prebuilt motherboard?

the mainboard doesnt have any video output connectors, and yes the bios is updated to the latest version even though it's from 2011-2013

Where did I say that the motherboard had display output connectors? The fact that the board lacks them, is why I said to have the GT545 in order to get display out so you can see what you're doing with DDU.
