What's a normal temperature for an EVGA GTX980 at 1440p / 165hz ?

Currently i'm just browsing the web with firefox and my GPU temp is at 65-67

Before upgrading to 1440p / 165hz (i was at 1080p / 60hz) my fans were never spinning so i didn't really pay attention to the GPU temp. But it seems that the higher resolution raise my GPU temp a lot.

Any way to lower the GPU temp so i can work without hearing the fans when not gaming ?

@libertaire, your temps are fine for a GTX 980. My 980 Ti's consistently reach 80 - 84C during game play, which is per design. There is nothing in your message post that it troubling. Btw, I'm assuming that you have the new Asus ROG Swift PG279Q. If so, how do you like it? I'm very jealous.

@libertaire, I apologize for mis-reading your post. You're reaching these temperatures while web browsing, and not just gaming. That is a problem, as it sounds like your card is enabling 3D mode while you're simply web browsing. Please remove your drivers with DDU, and then reinstall from Nvidia's website. Then check if the issue is better, worse or the same.
