Hi guys,

I have bought and built a brand new gaming PC for myself. Although I have scrapped the PSU and hard drive from my old computer, my CPU, Motherboard, graphics card and RAM are brand new. I also got myself a g-sync monitor, I am just pointing it out incase it does matter.

I expected quite a lot from this computer, however when I play games like Witcher 3 on ultra and Nvidia Hairworks on it goes down to 24-28fps?! That's is what I was getting on my gtx770 on my old computer on Witcher 3 on ultra.

I have turned off Nvidia Hairworks then my fps goes up to 32fps, but i'm still not satisfied because I spent a lot of money and I atleast expect to get around 40-50fps with hairworks on in ultra settings.

I have also tested my computer with older games, League of Legends runs perfectly fine, Witcher 2 was a disappointment because I was doing 40fps at ultra, Batman Arkham City was around 40fps too on ultra. Far Cry 4 was around that FPS too when I tried it last time.

World of Warcraft however, was stuttering a lot so i'm not quite sure what is going on.

Here is my computer's specifications:

EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB SC
ASUS X99-A/USB 3.1, Socket 2011-3
Crucial DDR4 2133MHz 16GB (4x4GB)
Intel Core i7-5820K, Socket-LGA2011-3
Corsair 850W AX Gold

Update: I have tested my computer using 3DMark, and here are the results I got.

Thank you so much for the help, and if I have forgotten to add anything else which might seem relevant, please do tell and I will do my best to reply as fast as possible :)

I reformatted all of them and did a fresh install of Windows 8 :)

maybe reinstall the driver ?? some guys report that there cards start to throttle at 65c but I don't se it cutting things back that bad ?

with all the supply issues evga seems to be having no telling how there pushing cards down the line I bet its a mad house at there factory right now ..

maybe try the card in another computer to see if it does the same thing on it as with yours ?? seems to me nothing you got should hold it back off hand

did you test the hard drive before you reused it ?? like with data life guard if a wd drive ??

and this is the driver you used ??

Hello, I have reinstalled my drivers, still having the same problem with Witcher 3.
No i did not test my harddrives.

Yes, I have the latest drivers installed. I am really out of ideas on what to do to improve my FPS :(

i'll copy and paste part of what I said from another thread

''I looking to do the hybrid myself but i'll wait until evga gets better organized I bet there factory is a mad house trying to fill orders and in that rush some quality may slip in order to make a quota ??''

may just be the game ? have you ran heaven or valley benchmark to see how it compares ??

post over at the evga forums and see what they say ???

I would also insure all your psu cables to the card are plugged in correctly in to the card and the back of the psu if modular .. may have a bad connection or something causeing the card to be underpowered ?? also reset the card in the slot ?
