Hello this is my 2nd pc that I am building I have always been a Intel + Nvidia kind of guy. My intel computer I built 5 years ago honestly runs better than this amd build one I got.

The one issue I had with it was it load stuff up slowly, I fix that with the SSD it seems.

Now my problem is when I'm playing any games on it like even league of legend, It'll freeze at the beginning and it'll also randomly crash the display. Like it goes black while the pc is running like the graphic card itself shut off. but the computer is still running forcing me to restart the PC?

So basically my question is what the hell is wrong with this PC?

Long story short, I bought this pc
AMD Ryzen 5 1400 - 8GB Memory - AMD Radeon RX 580 - 1TB Hard Drive
I upgraded to
AMD XFX Radeon 580 8GB - 16GB Ram - 1tb SSD, 512ssd samsung evo for os. 1tb hd

At this point Invested 700 dollars for the prebuilt setup + an additional 600$ to sup it up.
Now the only thing I can think that it's still being bottled neck by could be the power supply or the CPU or the motherboard. honestly I don't know if i want to spend more on this AMD build. I legit have the money I can throw at it. but is it even worth my time? I got 45 days to return everything. I could start over and just upgrade my current build?

I would like to make this amd build work any tips?
mainly cause I put 1500$ into so far

Could you expand on the ram part? but its a DDR4 Vengeance 16gb 2400, Power supply I honestly don't know I can't find the spec anywhere and I haven't open it up.

But I'm curious to know more on the incompitablity issue with ram on amd processor?

It is very well known that RAM on the Ryzen 1st gen platform like yours have can be very fussy and caused a lot of issues, most should be fixed but you might still have to fiddle with the settings to get it to work in worst cases. There are a lot of articles and suggestions on this issue like this, hope this helps but there is a lot of info online on this:

Thanks I decided to bring back the computer and rebuild my own amd setup.

What do you think about this setup?

MSI - X370 GAMING PRO CARBON (Socket AM4) USB 3.1 Gen 1 AMD Motherboard - Black
AMD Ryzen - 2700X Octa-Core 3.7 GHz Desktop Processor
EVGA - 850W Modular BQ Power Supply - Black
XFX - AMD Radeon RX 580 GTS Black Edition 8GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card - Black
Samsung - 860 EVO 1TB Internal SATA Solid State

Any recommendation?

Very good setup and should last you a long time. The only point of change would be an X470 motherboard instead of the X370. if you already have the X370 then no issues if not, the X470 would be better in the long run and should still cost the same.
